Hayes Manufacturing On-Line Vendor Registration and Bidding

Legal Information and Terms of Use:

Welcome to our on-line bidding program for current and potential vendors. By accessing, viewing, using or downloading materials from the website, you agree to be bound by the following conditions:

  • Use of the Hayes Bidding Program

    Unless otherwise specified, you may view and download the materials contained in this website for the use of your business, provided that you retain all copyright and other proprietary notices contained on any information viewed or downloaded. It is not permissible to forward any of the viewed or downloaded information to any outside source without the written consent of a Hayes representative.

  • Revision of Terms

    Hayes Manufacturing reserves the right to revise the conditions of the “Terms of Use” at any time by updating this posting. You will be also be bound to any revisions.

  • Registration

    To become a registered bidder, you must become an approved Hayes vendor. To do this, you must complete the following tasks:

    • Complete our “Supplier Quality System Self-Audit” form.
    • Provide product samples for approval by a Hayes quality representative.
    • Demonstrate your ability to meet our delivery requirements
    • In some cases, a Hayes representative will perform a short audit of your manufacturing/quality processes (in your facility).

Important Note:

All vendors who wish to quote the Hayes line of aluminum bell housings must have a calibrated CMM in their facility. In addition, you must be able to demonstrate the proper operation of the CMM on a sample of a Hayes bell housing. (This may require us to visit your facility to verify conformance)

Awarding bids:

If you are the winning bidder for a quote request, and you have beaten the target price by 10%, you have our guarantee that the part will not be available for quoting for a period of one year (see exceptions below, which will completely void the one-year guarantee). If you win the bid but do not beat the target price by 10%, the part can be sent out for quote at our discretion.

Conditions that will void a one-year guarantee:

  • Quality problems/high scrap rates
  • Multiple corrective actions/scrap reports
  • No response to corrective actions
  • Failure to integrate/update engineering changes properly
  • Missed delivery dates
  • Damaged parts
  • Inferior packaging
  • Poor customer service

If any or all of the above conditions occur during the one-year guarantee period, Hayes Manufacturing reserves the right to pull the job immediately and re-quote.

Vendor Information

In order to facilitate the best possible communication between Hayes and our vendors, you will have on-line access to scrap reports (SCPR forms), corrective/preventive actions (CPA forms), returned goods authorization forms (RGA’s), as well as positive and negative feedback regarding your company’s performance. All information will be confidential and accessible only to you and the management of Hayes Manufacturing.

At Hayes Manufacturing, we are proud of the fact that we provide quality products at a competitive price. We couldn’t do it without our quality management system and our large vendor base.

Because we anticipate continued growth, we decided to implement this on-line system. It will allow us to request and receive quotes quickly, keep our internal costs down and, at the same time, ensure that all qualified vendors have a chance to quote each project (fair is fair!).
